On June 14, 2014, Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church hosted the 12th Pragmatics Roundtable under the title Historical Pragmatics. The aim of the conference was to provide a comprehensive overview of how the methods and findings of pragmatic research can be applied to the analysis of historical texts. This special issue brings together studies based on the presentations delivered at the event.
